Naked Clam Ltd

Christopher Columbus was stranded in Jamacia because something ate his ship. That something was the Naked Clam, the world’s fastest growing bivalve, capable of turning waste wood into nutrient packed protein. We have now created the world’s first system for farming these animals, and aquaculture system, at laboratory scale. We seek funding to provide a commercial scale proof of this system, both in the open sea to restore degraded mangrove ecosystems, and on land in shipping containers, connecting the forestry sector with the fish sector to deliver sustainable nutrient rich food.
